Hey, I’m glad you made it here.
If you’ve ever read the news, sat through a boardroom meeting, or walked out of church and thought, “What just happened?”…you’re in the right place.
Examined is my premium newsletter where I process leadership, faith, and culture in real time. It’s where I say what I actually think, without the filters, the fluff, or the pressure to appease a room. I started writing Examined because I noticed that too many leaders are starving for transformational substance. We’re buried in headlines and cultural hot takes but not hearing enough real, biblical, boots-on-the-ground wisdom that actually helps us lead well in this moment.
This newsletter isn’t for everyone, and that’s the point.
It’s for pastors who feel the tension of preaching truth in a culture allergic to it.
It’s for business leaders who are tired of empty motivation and hungry for meaning.
It’s for Christian leaders who want to think critically, live faithfully, and lead courageously…even when it’s costly.
It’s for everyday christians who want to grow into a the best version of themselves.
So… what do I write about?
Every week I wrestle with the real stuff. You’ll find essays that unpack the deeper implications of cultural events, leadership reflections forged in the fires of both church growth and business strategy, and biblically grounded takes on issues that others avoid because they’re “too messy.”
One week, I might walk through what happens when charisma outpaces character in Christian leadership.
Another week, I might explore how the Church should respond when a political agneda tries to hijack kingdom values.
And sometimes I just write about what it’s like to lead when you're exhausted, called, and still passionate enough to care for those in need.
And occasionally, I share what it’s like leading a rapidly growing church in really complex world.
It's not polished theology or sanitized leadership advice but it’s what I call “kingdom realism.” Because faith doesn't require us to ignore the ugly. It invites us to redeem it.

A little about me…
I’m Jared and I’m a former marketing executive turned pastor who’s led both boardrooms and churches. My educational background includes a BA in psychology and an MA in clinical counseling. I’ve coached over 400 business owners and now lead a growing church that’s seen radical transformation.
You can learn more about me on my personal website here.
I live in the space where leadership principles and kingdom values collide and my writing reflects that tension. My background allows me to approach spiritual growth, spiritual leadership, and cultural navigation with both the precision of a strategist and the soul of a shepherd.
If you want polished clichés, you won’t find them here. But if you want real talk from someone who’s leading, building, and praying his way through the same fires you are then Examined was built for you.
What's coming in Examined?
Hot Takes with Depth: Not just opinions, but reflections rooted in Scripture and leadership principles.
Leadership Breakdowns: How to lead well when the culture goes sideways.
Spiritual Insights in Real Time: What God is saying to me and maybe to you through the chaos.
Subscriber-only Q&As and live sessions (coming soon).
Member-Only Podcast & Video Episodes (coming soon).
Long-form faith reflections that don’t fit in a sermon or social post.
This is the newsletter I wish existed years ago when I was trying to figure out how to lead through spiritual exhaustion, cultural confusion, and organizational pressure without losing my mind in the process.
