Your message immediately engaged me as you made the distinction between “voice” and “personality.” I used to teach/describe term “voice” as “personality” to my former kiddos. However, I’m SO grateful to receive this message as I’m growing in my leadership potential in multiple areas of my life. Examining the “5 Voices” framework provides a model for me to understand how I engage as a leader across these voices— in the spaces I shape, effect, and influence—because I am all of the voices (depending our the spaces and faces). This teaching was amazing!! My voice is the voice of the nurturer. This voice comes naturally from me, although I can see that God will use me at times as a voice of a guardian however that is not an area that I’m comfortable with but am willing to grow more in. Will be praying for wisdom and understanding in whatever role I’m in.
I think you absolutely nailed it! I can see the nurturer and the guardian on your life. There’s a so much value in those two voices and I’ve learned to appreciate them greatly in my own life. Thank you for caring for people and for keeping things grounded.
